It was a late night. I stayed up and got a week's worth of laundry finished. The "bath house" facilities were really nice, also close to our site. I was glad to get it all done, I just wished they have more than 2 washers and 2 dryers.
When I returned to the trailer Mike was sleep walking and talking. He was on edge and ready for action. He asked where we were. Of course he had no recollection in the morning.
We packed up and grabbed ice and things at the camp store on our way out. 5 stars for West Branch in Ravenna, OH.
Our first site of the day was the Kirtland Temple.
I liked that the kids could see the inside of the temple and tour the whole building. I didn't like some of the presentation or the way it was carried out. It was impressive the craftsmanship, design, all the details. However it didn't feel like a temple anyone. It felt like a historical site.
We all stood and sang "The Spirit of God". It was really neat to sing it and think of the saints there at the dedication.
While I was holding the hymn on my phone for Aaron and Luke to sing, Scarlett dumped my purse and my wedding ring fell out. Fortunately I heard it hit the wood floor so I knew to look for it. The swelling in my hand was down enough I could wear it again.
Mike bought us all Joseph Smith root beer afterwards.
Next stop was our campsite and then to Cedar Point. There was a section of highway where the bugs were do thick they sounded like rain or hail hitting our windshield. We didn't turn on the wipers though. It would have just smeared the guts.
At the park, Aaron chose to stay with Scarlett and I. He decided the thrill rides were too much. Sadly he was too tall for most of the kiddy rides and spent a lot of time waiting and watching. At the end of the day he decided to hang with the big dogs the next day. I am glad he had that chance to choose and figure out what he really wants.
Afterward we met up with Ann, Pete, Jay, Tom and their families for dinner at a buffet called Ryan's. The fun was beginning. It was so great to see everyone.
