We spent the day at the US Space and Rocket Center. They had many exhibits, presentations, and rides.
Scarlett's favorite thing were the life size building blocks. Luke built her this house. She loved it. He called it "Scarlett: Life in the Dream House." I cracked up since her favorite show at home is "Barbie: Life in the Dream House". So clever of him to make the connection.
Perhaps the highlight of the day for Mike and I was the IMAX.
We bought season museum tickets since they are also good at the museums at home as well as many others across the nation.
Movie tickets were discounted with our pass. We chose Hubble, which was a documentary about the Hubble telescope. We got to see the amazing images it collected from space. I love it when science explains things you already know to be true in your heart. Afterwards Luke had a ton of questions. We had a great discussion on the universe, infinity and the nature of God.
Scarlett was afraid to go on this ride with her brothers. So she and I went back and rode it together. It was like Star Tours at Disneyland but the graphics were not half as good. Still a fun ride though.
This is our campground at Monte Sano State Park. The trees were spectacular. Shade everywhere and 5 - 10 degrees cooler than down in Huntsville. It was a lovely stay.
