Pretty Purse Pick-up

A thoughtful friend gave me a gift card to go design my own purse at the Laura Bee Design Studio in Seattle. I could have probably made this purse, but when? Some days I barely have time to pee. The studio is a very fun place full of cool vintage stuff and ton's of fabrics, ribbons, and buttons. So this was my creation. I'm a relatively plain Jane, I wear mostly solids--some subtle prints, but truly it's the loud fun colors that make me the happiest. I went crazy and chose turquoise for the lining, and I love it. There's a little turquoise outlining the flowers and it really makes them pop even more. I got to fussy-cut or crop the print so that the part I liked best was used and centered how I wanted. It was really fun.

This purse will be my evening out bag, and I bet I can pull it off with jeans or even a little black dress. ( = You can check out Laura Bee's website and studio at http://www.laurabeedesigns.com/
