My Date with Paul Blart

Did you know that the Newport Beach Temple has volunteer security duty? Our ward's assignment was this last Saturday night. Mike offered to do it, as long as he could bring me. Doesn't he look handsome in his security jacket?

We has a lot of fun goofing around. Don't mess with Mike!

We wandered around a parking lot--a lot. Winning vehicle of the evening was this jem.

You can't see it in the picture, but it used to be a Holiday Inn shuttle bus. It had 2 carseats in the back--on one of the 3 benches. ( =

It was a gorgeous night. We saw the Knott's Berry Farm fireworks at 8:30 and the Disneyland fireworks at 9:30. We also caught the sunset behind Moroni and took in some fresh ocean air.
