I laid the blocks out on a sheet since I plan to put white sashing strips between all the blocks. The sheet helps me visualize what it will look like better, and I think I'm really going to like the all white sashing.
The blocks are done, but still need to be trimmed even.
I LOVE the way they turned out.Around the sashing will be a 1 inch border in green poka dotted fabric that will sit on the edges of the bed, then a 12 - 15 inch border of white with a scalloped edge that will hang down around the mattress and blue paisley binding. Can't wait!
This is the cheapest quilt I've even made since the white is cheap muslin I bought with my 40% off coupon and all the Swanky fabric for the blocks was free. As you make a quilt you have to take breaks and admire and assess so you can stay motivated to finish. Can't wait until I'm done!! My favorite step is washing it and the texture the quilting and stippling gives the quilt as it comes out of the dryer.
