Zoo Trip

Monday we went to the zoo with Luke's preschool. It was the first time I've taken all 3 boys to the zoo by myself. It was a little stressful. Luke wanted to keep up with his friends and the little guys mostly just wanted to wander and hang out. Fortunately several girlfriends were there to help me round them all up.

Why is it that all my zoo pictures are of the back of heads?

Here's a rare one -- an actual face shot with an animal in the back ground! The new penguins were really cool. The boys stayed there the longest.

Here's a shot of all three and they are even all facing the same direction. They were up on the rock to see the bear. (Notice the tripod stroller. The good stroller had a flat and our garage sale travel stroller lost a wheel while we where there.)

It was hot, so many animals were sleeping or hiding in the shade, but the bear was up and out. He was quite a site. I hope we don't run into him camping this summer!

We ended on an injury. What would we do with out girlfriends? By the time the zoo first aider arrived, we had someone to watch her kids, her car had a driver ready to take her, and husband meeting her at the ER.

After a long day, we just had a picnic on the front lawn for dinner. A nice easy way to wrap up a good day.

I was tempted to turn on those sprinklers, but resisted. I think my boys are rubbing off on me.
