Last time when he was 3, it took 4 of us to hold him down. He fought like he was fighting death. So this time it was a surprise attack. We, well Mike (I left for the lobby with the little guys--I didn't want to traumatize them.) took Luke to the back room, feeding him candy all the way while they strapped him down. I was so smart to bring Mike. I never would have made it alone. Mike said Luke was better than he expected. He knew he was beat--being tied down and didn't fight so much, mostly just cried and yelled until he broke out in hives.
After it was all over the doctor's office gave him a Buzz Lightyear Parachute guy and I took him to buy a balloon. The ironic part is that of all the balloons they had, he chose the bumble bee balloon. As if being "stung" 7 times at the doctor's office wasn't enough, how he has a visual reminder. I'm so glad no more shots until he's 11 or something. I'm not sure I will be able to get him through the doctor's door next time he is sick. Good thing he's never sick.

Oh man! I didn't realize the Kindergarten visit was that brutal! Sophie is actually kind of obsessed with shots right now and loves to give and get pretend "pokes." I think she's seen me get blood taken too many times! I hope the hives are all gone :(
Oh Jessica I feel for you. Olie did the same act. I could have died when she broke the nurses fake nail and I saw it hanging there in her glove. I didn't know whether to offer to pay for it or what. Everyone in the waiting room heard the screaming and looked at my like I had just killed someone when I finally left. But think of the bright side...KINDERGATEN!!!
