Another Getaway

When I married Mike one of my favorite things about him was that he worked hard and played hard. And this is still very true. He works long days M-Th, but a three day weekend makes for great road trips and getaways.

This last weekend we went with some friends here:

Lake Chelan

And yes, it was just that beautiful. The lake was amazing, super clear and just gorgeous. I tried to swim in it, but with out my earplugs, the freezing water was killing my ears and I had to get out. Too bad too because the water was so clear, you could see down 15 - 20 feet. It rivaled the water visibility in Hawaii, but with no salty throat burn.

There was a car show on Saturday. We rode our bikes around and cruised the car show. I love car shows. Maybe that's what Mike and I will have to do when we retire. Fix up old cars and drive them around showing them off.

This one was our favorite. It was the '68 Camaro Super Sport convertible in all black. It was so pretty.

The '67 GTO was another favorite. Look how squeaky clean that engine is.

Aaaugh, I love summer.
