Some very good friends of ours are going to the temple as a family for the first time. They recently became members of our church and have looked forward to this day for a long time. I am so happy for them and for the special day that this is for their family. I made matching mother-daughter all white slippers for them to wear. (Dad has plain white man shoes to wear--I figured he wouldn't want a pair of these.) These are the little girl slippers, I already gave the larger mom pair to my good friend. I ordered satin ballet slippers online and then hand stitched on the embellishments. I hope I have a pair of these to wear when I get to heaven--assuming I get there. ( =

I thought the blog title was an interesting one for a house full of boys. I thought, who's playing dress up? The slippers are so sweet. You know just how to make meaningful events even more special with gifts from the heart.
Yes - the dress I wore at the wedding was the one I first blogged about. So glad to have it :) I got many compliments on it, my favorite being - "Nisha you look darling, 18, but darling." What woman doesn't want to look 18 (lol!).
They are beautiful Jessica!!! What a thoughtful, sweet gift.
so darling, and thoughtful.
