Normally I get after Aaron when he climbs out of his car seat, so he's only done it twice. He doesn't like to be in trouble. But today climbing out saved the day.
As I was getting out the car after dropping Luke off at preschool, I decided to leave my diaper and gym bags in the car and come back for them after I got the boys in the house. (seriously--I can only carry so much at a time) Well, I must have bumped something on my way out. I closed the door and after I was half way around the car it beeped and the doors all locked. It was nap time for both Aaron and Owen. Its a warm Indian Summer day, them locked in the car with the keys in it was bad. I went in the house to call someone, probably Mike, and the thought came to me, maybe Aaron could unlock it from the inside.
I went back to the car and coached him out of his seat--first arms, stand up, legs out, climb down, up two rows to my seat, and on the first try he pushed the right button! Nice work Aaron! He saved me calling AAA or someone, waiting for them to come, some sort of fee, a ruined nap time, and possibly having to find a ride home for Luke. He listened to every direction I gave him through the windows and did everything just perfectly that I asked. He may make a great bomb squad member someday. But I really would not approve if that's what he decided to do. He has to live longer than me. I will might need rescuing again. ( =

Wow, that's amazing that 1) Aaron is such a smartie 2) You were calm enough to talk him through it and 3) You have a 2-ish-year-old that actually listens and does what you say. ha!
And Owen...what a tank! He'd be a great lion or the Hulk.
