Eberhards Visit

We said goodbye last night to Mike's sister Ann and her family, they left early this morning on their journey back to Minnesota. They had several stops and we were their last. I was a little concerned about feeding and housing 7 extra people for 6 days, but it wasn't nearly as crazy as I had thought. It was very nice that her kids are older and super helpful. I already miss the help loading and unloading the boys from the car and feeding assistance.

We went many places, free kids movie, picnic at the temple, Pike Place Market, day at Pine Lake swimming and kayaking, hike to Snoqualmie Falls, Swing Band Concert at the park, Girls Day/Boys Day--girls (and Owen) went and painted ceramics at University Village, out to lunch, custom purse making at Laura Bee Designs, and sculpture art at the park (which we never found), the boys (and Rachel) went to the Pacific Science Center. Friday night Mike and I had a wedding dinner, so Ann took the big kids to the street art show to see glass blowing while John stayed home with the little guys. Saturday the Tacoma Narrows bridge, the rain forest, BBQ at the park, and a ferrie ride home. Saturday night Katie and Michelle watched all the kids while the grown-ups went to a Kidney Transplant Celebration on Lake Washington. Our very good friend is getting a new kidney tomorrow. We BBQed steaks--amazingly yummy, wonderful steaks, and jet skied on the lake. SO much fun! Mike got us up to 50 mph and I was screaming so loud! Sunday we were tired! We had a pot roast for dinner and home made ice cream and strawberries. Then FHE. It was a great week. Thanks for coming Eberhards!

You should consider visiting especially in July--we had so much fun!

hey jessica thanks so much for letting us come it was son fun and i was so sad we had to leave. i think i left a book at your house. I bought it at Desert book and so it should be in a plastic bag. Im pretty sure i left it in the room my mom and dad stayed in it might be behind the lamp or something. If its not in the bag it is a blue book called "the door within" by Thomas Bates if you find it that would be awesome!! Again thanks so much for having us i miss you guys already!!! Katie
