Happy Halloween!

Luke wanted to be a bat this year, so we went with a Halloween theme. Here's our skeleton, jack-o-lantern, and bat. Mike and I just wore Halloween t-shirts.

At school, Luke was a crossing guard. His school doesn't let anyone dress up for Halloween, except the kindergartners and they can only dress up at public servants--firemen, policemen, teachers, etc. His outfit really catches the flash on the camera. Here's a shot of grandma and mom with him as his class party on "orange and black' day.

For Halloween, we went to a really great kid's party thrown by this very good witch, my Aunt Paula. Her super cool hat is even from Salem, Massechusets.

She had all the festive foods:

And all the perfect decor:

After the party we trick-or-treated her neighborhood and it was a great neighborhood to trick-or-treat. Aaron tried to chat and get to know each new "friend" handing out candy. They all loved him. Owen thought he was in heaven and just stared in amazement at all these WONDERFUL people who give out candy--if you just say trick or treat. I suspect he'll be saying trick or treat for days to come. Luke wanted to run the whole night from house to house--he knows the drill. ( =

Thanks for a great time Aunt Paula!!

Great costumes! I especially how you painted bones on Aaron's feet. Trick-or-treating in SHORTS? How would it be? Miss you guys.
