I'm Rich!

I checked my bank account today and I had many thousands of dollars more than I expected. It was wonderful!

But then lower on the screen, I noticed that we had a 0 balance due on our mortgage and remembered--"Oh yeah we sold our house." Mike didn't have our account info handy when we were signing all the escrow papers, so all the equity from our house went straight into my checking acount, since I have my check book with me at all times. ( =

For a few precious seconds I was imagining all the fabulous things I could buy, all the amazing vacations I could go on, the nanny, maid, and chef I could hire, it was glorious. I guess you can afford things like that when you don't have a mortgage. Living with my parents, I think I want a mortgage. (I do love my parents though--just for the record.)
