Easter Highlights

Here's a slide of some of our Easter shots. We had a very fun weekend.

This is my favorite Easter shot from this year:

You won't be able to tell why I love this picture from just looking at it. So I'll tell you. First thing, notice the large number of eggs in Luke's basket. He is an egg hunting machine. Aaron and Owen didn't have a chance, nor did any of the other kids at the park. Notice Mike's finger near his lips quieting Luke, he's trying to explain why it's important to share your eggs with others (brothers) who don't have as many. Notice the concern on Luke's face that somehow all his hard earned eggs will be given away. Then notice the wet spot on Mike's shirt. It's from picking up Owen who leaked out his diaper. Did Mike stop to change his shirt? (or Owen for that matter?) No way, he's a hands on dad in the thick of an egg hunt with 3 wild boys. A little pee is not going to slow down the adventure. Yes, that was our Easter morning. It was great. The boys did eat 2 hard boiled eggs each before any of the candy. Luke even refered to them as "the good ones." So I call it a success. Also, I got them to sort of stand still and pose for a shot by the picture of Christ in their new Easter outfits. Bonus.

Hope you had a great Easter!

haha. Awesome. You know it is weird that you said that Owen had a leaky diaper cuz I totally had a random dream last night that my baby (that I don't have???) had a leaky diaper and it got all over me. Dreams are so bizarre sometimes.

So fun--your boys are getting so big!! Looks like Easter was a hit. We took Julianne to the city Easter egg hunt. She picked up like 2 things and then she was good. It was funny to watch all the kids in the 0-2 circle. They all seemed pretty content with their few items--but that didn't stop some of the parents from shoveling stuff into their baskets for them--love it!!

so cute! I love little kids at easter egg hunts - reminds me of when we used to hunt eggs in "the forrest" but our uncles were much more meaner & hid the eggs really well!! I think the boys had it much easier with the eggs on the lawn! :)
