OK, sorry about my terrible singing. I'm the closest to the microphone and so there you go. But this gives you a feel for Owen's reaction to the whole experience. We had a very nice evening with my cousin John and his family--Marianne, David and Becky, as well as Marianne's nephew Matt and his family--Jen and Seth. We ate salmon (Seattle favorite), chicken, sweet potato salad, fruit salad, zucchini, and bread. For dessert cake and ice cream of coarse. And that cake in the slide show tasted so much better than it looked. Bottom layer chocolate cake, top layer chocolate ice cream with marshmellow swirls and oreo crust, plus whip cream and cherries. Wow! Back to the diet tomorrow.
Owen is now standing all by himself for seconds at a time, still cruising and crawling, and his new skill--stairs. Yay! No more baby gates!
Owen had lots of help with his cake and presents from his big brothers Luke and Aaron. Owen might even get to play with his toys someday. ( =
It's hard to believe he is one! Happy Birthday Owen!

Yay for videos on blogs! I need to learn how to do it. Your menu sounds so yummy! Is it your sweet potato salad recipe? If so, pass it on! Sounds delic.
