Happy in Who-ville

"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas . . . perhaps . . . means a little bit more."

Every year I try and make something homemade for Christmas. This year we will spend Christmas with family out of town and with the hussle and bus of the holidays I decided to make something early so we could enjoy it through the season. I saw these here (a fellow adoptive mom blogger) and knew stockings were just the thing to make this year. I'm a sucker for polka dots.

As I was picking fabrics and drafting the pattern, I saw some green fur left over from Halloween and KNEW exactly the perfect stocking for Mike--a Grinch stocking.

If you don't know Mike, you might think this stocking is a total insult. But if you know him, you know he loves the real meaning of Christmas and not all the stuff--stockings included. I even included a little red heart, since I don't know many with a heart bigger than his. (He LOVES his by the way)

Here's the rest of the crews' stockings. I put fur on mine too, but more like the Mrs. Clause kind. I think they turned out pretty good!

Hope you are enjoying the holidays! Gotta work on my Christmas cards!

I love all the updates! Jealous of that pool, LOVE the stockings. Someday, I will make homemade stockings. Right now, my lil family is using the ones we had growing up. Kinda fun, very old school!

Aaron is so handsome and I can't believe how old Luke looks!
