Trash to Treasure

Down in the ravine, there's a few random items left behind by others. One thing of particular interest to my boys was this very large truck tire. Mike and the boys thought it would make a really cool tire swing.

The tire was so big and heavy I'm not sure how Mike got it up the hill to our house. I can lift the 52 lbs bag of dog food at Costco, but I couldn't even slide the tire on the ground! Kind of made me feel bad for encouraging the boys to try and bring it home while Mike was at work.

I wasn't much help on this project, but Mike did ask me to use my "Math Magic" to calculate where to drill the holes so that the swing was level. I love it when I can use my math. Too bad I don't have a Geometry class to tell about it.

Mike bought some super strong chain and hooked it all up to the big pepper tree.

We were all the little worried the tree was strong enough. So Mike gave it some tugs before he tried it out.

Get ready for some fun boys!!

I'm pretty sure the reason I have 3 boys if because Mike is such a great dad for boys.
