Christmas Highlights

Santa sent us an elf this year to help us remember to be good all December long. Another post would be required to truly show how tricky and goofy our elf Freddy is. We look forward to seeing him again next year.

We did all the normal stuff. School programs,

visiting with Santa,

And then we headed north to Utah to spend time with family. Freddie the elf was sure to come with us, keeping an eye on everyone the whole road trip.

We arrived at my sister's house first.
Look at these two gorgeous cousins.
Too cute for words.

Sunday night we spent at Grandma and Grandpa's in Provo with Uncle John and the non-sick members of his family. Snowman building too.

Christmas Eve we went to Teppanyaki. It sounds shallow and worldly, but it's become tradition and it's a great one. The whole time I was replaying the duck scene from Christmas Story. Fararara-ra-ra-ra-ra.

Love this girl. Wish I got see her more!

Santa stopped for us at Uncle Brent and Aunt Sharee's house. He was very good to us this year.

They slept until 7!! It was great!

The big gift needed some explaining and included at letter from Santa.

After opening all the nested packages . . . anual passes to Disneyland!!

And for Scarlett, a "bike!"

After Christmas we stayed a while longer and did all sorts of fun things like . . .

Cougar Bowl at BYU

Laser Tag

Nickel-cade

and a sledding trip with Uncle Jim and family.

These guys are naturals. Thrill seeking dare-devils.

Watching their brother . . .

Sweetest guy there.

It was a first time trip for these two.

Emerson first. He was so excited!

Yeah, he loved it.

Now Scarlett's turn. She's a little unsure about this.

Yeah, not a fan of sledding. Maybe next time it will be more fun?

Mostly she liked to be held and watch the boys. Fine by me. I like to watch too.

Our sled crew. (Mike was back at work, we missed him)

Thanks to everyone for hosting us and showing us such a great time!! It was a very Merry Christmas!

I loved your Christmas update. Your family sure is cute and does lots of fun things. I'm glad you found some snow to play in. It hasn't snowed once this winter in Sammamish. We took our kids up sledding in the mountains but they are still sad it hasn't snowed here.
