We saved up all our eggs, until there was plenty for all of us to share.
It's been fun figuring out which kind of chicken lays what color egg. Apparently green eggs are relatively rare, so we feel kind of cool to have so many. (Green Eggs and Ham? We have it all the time!) We have only gotten one blue egg, which I am bummed about. I think they are the prettiest. There's a few brown speckled ones, those are pretty cool too.
The farmers three, waiting for their egg feast.
This was an eggs-tra special dinner, complete with strawberries, bacon and hot chocolate. It even rained that day, so the hot chocolate really hit the spot.
Isn't that a lovely plate?! I could eat that every day.
I cooked the eggs just how my Grandpa Brady would have cooked them. I thought of him as we were having our feast. I wish he could have been there. He would have loved seeing my boys, all their hard work, enjoying their success, enjoying a big family meal. It was definitely his scene.
Guess who REALLY loves eggs?
Eggs-pecially when she gets to eat them on her daddy's lap!
Since our first egg, it's like Easter everyday. Right when they wake-up, when they get home from school, first thing is looking for eggs. I wonder if the novelty will ever wear off. I hope not. It's so fun to see them so eggs-cited.
The boys are also, eggs-cited to sell their farm-fresh, cage-free, good old fashioned eggs. So let us know if you are interested!
