Love this Guy

So proud of my recent 8 year old.

On the day of his birthday, we did his favorite things.

First a trip to his favorite park. He calls it the "Butterfly"  Park because we see butterflies there all the time. He took this picture. Not too shabby!

Later, dinner at his favorite restaurant.

And last, to one of my favorite places too.
A scooter around the island and a Balboa Bar. Yum!

Luke opted to wait a bit to be baptized. He wanted as much family as possible for the occasion.

So we had his baptism at the close of Scarlett's adoption weekend.

He's such a good example for his younger brothers and sister.

These two. They are very similar. In so many ways.

(Mike bought two new suit for the adoption and Luke's baptism. And wow! What a good looking husband I have!)

After the baptism, we had a family dinner at Grandma's house. There were some super good times with cousins and friends.

Even some high flying, heart stopping fun. (crazy dads and uncles--the things they do!)

But, most importantly, we got in a fun game of "Grunt, Piggy, Grunt."
It's Luke's favorite and Grandma promised.

Aaron guessed his grunt on the first try. Of coarse.

Even Josie guessed him too.

We stayed out late, having a great time.

He's got many more great days ahead for him. Cub scouts, 3rd grade, a new soccer season. We are so proud of the the choices he's made so far. We are looking forward to all the great things to come. We love you Luke!
