There are great things ahead for our little growing family this summer. Birthday milestones, swim lessons, more birthdays, family coming to visit, 16th wedding anniversary, Mike's family's siblings couples retreat in Michigan, space camp, the beginning of cub scouts, so many fun things ahead I just get smiley when I look at the calendar. But for sure the MOST HAPPY THING OF THE YEAR, we will finalize Miss Scarlett Jane's adoption and she will be a forever part of our family!
As preparation for this adoption event, we had a special family meeting and talked about all the things that would be happening on Scarlett's adoption weekend.
We talked about each part--the courthouse, the temple sealing, the party, and her name and blessing in church on Sunday. It was a really special conversation with the boys because each of them has done all this before themselves. It will help them remember and understand it even better as they go through it again with their sister who they adore so much.
We talked about it and then we watched this treasured video my sister-in-law Amy made for us from Aaron and Owen's adoption weekend.
It's always fun to watch a video of yourself and how happy you make others and see just how much you are loved. The boys watch it over and over.
We are so looking forward to an adoption weekend with Scarlett!!

I could watch this a million times :) Perfect soundtrack! So excited for you guys and Scarlett Jane! Can't wait for pics and a fabulous video from her big day. Will we see a baptism post soon too? Julia (Hilary's daughter who was born one week before Luke) was baptized yesterday.
