For a long time in every prayer Luke said, "Please help us find our baby sister." He asked me all the time what we were doing to work on this and how the process was going. He was so happy when she arrived and cried with me when they said she would go to another family. His prayers at that time were, "Please help us to keep our baby sister." Later, he jumped up and down and hugged me when they said she could stay.
This last week his prayers changed again. All of the paperwork in preparation for finalization is finished. All that is left is a full disclosure meeting/intent to adopt signing next week and then the finalization in July sometime.
Now his prayers are "We thank thee for Scarlett and that we can take her to the temple."
All our prayers are being answered and its just really wonderful.
Its especially sweet to see how much my rough, tough boys adore our sweet baby girl.
Motherhood isn't glamorous, simple, relaxing, or lucrative, but it sure is precious.

We're so happy for you! The faith of a child can bring miracles!
I absolutely love that boy. Of course, I love all your kids, but Luke is really special to me. Maybe it's because he was first... :)
so sweet! we're happy she's staying too!!!
I just returned from Kentucky...I surprised Jennie:) It was her b'day and Jill's farewell...so great to be there and enjoy the Forsgren/Jenikins families...I asked about you all and how things were going with the adoption...SO happy things are working out. You are a blessed bunch with adorable boys who love their sister. Sending love from Texas.
