Mystery Solved and Halloween Highlights

Remember this house? Seriously, who owns 3 station wagons and backs them all in?

Well, we went and trick-or-treated them and it was pretty awesome. Apparently they are the family in the neighborhood who hand out a whole sleeve of candy bars to each kid!

Luke's Halloween was totally made and that house, and they are for sure on his good neightbor list for life.

Here they are the candy collectors. I let them each choose their own costume.

Luke is a skeleton bat. (His own original idea) Aaron is BumbleBee the Autobot Transformer and Owen is Thor. Aaron was going to be Thor until he saw the BumbleBee costume and HAD to have it. Aaron had already ripped the tags off Thor and worn the costume several times past returnability. So, Owen volunteered to be Thor to make Aaron happy. What a great brother.

And here is our littlest member. All adorable in her sea shells and fin, our baby mermaid.

Daddy loves her so much, he rigged up battery operated jack-o-lantern lights just for her and her carriage. She LOVED them. Happily gazing all evening.

We've had a pretty fun Halloween season, parades . . .

helping design little witch boots with my mom for my neice . . .

trunk or treat and party at the church . . .

and we can't forget the pie eating contest. Here's the contestants happily trash talking each other.

The pies weren't that big, but it seemed to take forever for them to eat them.

Here's where Mike almost lost it . . .

He didn't win according to the judges, but at least he wasn't cheating by hiding pie under his feet!

Speaking of eating until you're sick. We have WAY TOO MUCH candy! Should be an interesting few days. I'm not looking forward to the detox or withdrawls.

Hope you had a great Halloween!

Such a clever Little Mermaid costume. I suppose when you live by the beach, you get real seashells!
