My boys picked out the fabrics. I grouped them into 4 main categories: creatures, characters, mechanical and activities. Each block on the border has a matching block in the center circle--perfect for a game of eye-spy.
I used a walking foot to quilt it--stitch in the ditch on the squares and concentric circles around the circle on the blue fabric.
Everything my boys love--Buzz Lightyear, bugs, sports, monkeys and tigers, cupcakes, pirates, bikes, motorcycles, power tools, plains, trains and automobiles. robots and dragons, 58 pairs of squares--all ready to wrap up their newest boy cousin.
And because she lives in Utah, I did bee and pioneer blocks. Hehe. After I finished I realized I forgot fire. Maybe that's a good thing.Congratulations Julia!! We are so happy for you and excited to meet him!!
