On the way home from my uncle's funeral in Escalante, UT I almost had to pull over the car I was laughing so hard. We were leaving Cedar City where we spent the night, heading home after an emotional weekend fun of memories and family. This conversation verifies that I am to my children one of the adult voices you hear in a Peanuts cartoon--muffled and unclear, except for a few key words. In this case, donuts and George.
Me: If you guys can be good--no fighting or yelling, at our next stop in St. George I will buy donuts.
Luke: Who's George?
Me: SAINT George is a city, a place where we are going. If you can BE GOOD, I will buy donuts when we get there.
Aaron: I want to sit next to George.
I've got a few more of these so stay tuned.
