So not many posts in February. It seems there is not a linear relationship between events and blog posts. (math mumbo jumbo) In a nutshell, so much happened, there was just no way to blog it all. So here is a catch-up summary:
We bought a house. We didn't close on time, and there were a lot of hoops and jumps, but we did close and we do own our own home again. Yay! It's the Lemon Tree House. Lots of projects and lots of potential. Many before and after posts in the future.
We moved in on February 27th--there was a lot of rain, but nothing our years in Seattle didn't prepare us for.
Our church had a wonderful Women's Conference--an all day Saturday event. It was a wonderful break with great speakers and food. A very nice girl's day and break for me.
Luke started T-ball and he loves it. It's the most entertaining adorable thing ever. He's on the Giants and looks amazingly handsome in his uniform. First game this Saturday--assuming there's no rain. There's been a lot (relatively a lot) of rain here this "winter."
My good friend Carrie came from Seattle with her 3 kids. We went to the beach with the kids. It was pretty much the best day of the year so far. I miss her and hanging out for the day was just like old times and so therapeutic and wonderful. The best part of the day was when she told a nice (and curious) lady on the beach that Luke was my son (not hers--he looks just like one of her girls--people sometimes think they're twins) and Aaron and Owen are also mine. Then she told her how I used to live in Seattle near her and that Aaron and Owen are actually her husband's cousins that I adopted. And Luke was adopted too, but from a different birth mother. Poor lady! She was so confused! She didn't talk to us the rest of the day after that. We were too much for her. Carrie and I laughed and laughed about it all day.
We bought Disneyland passes for our family. We went with the cheapo local passes and it's wonderful. We've already been 3 times. The Magic Kingdom is the Happiest Place on Earth. It's also the best bargaining chip with my boys.
My parent's left for the weekend to go visit my uncle and aunt at their B&B in Southern Utah. My uncle is sick, so it was nice for them to visit him. Julia and her very serious boyfriend, (yay!!) Aaron drove down from Provo and met them there. It was the first time my parents got to meet Aaron and they LOVE him. Aaron and Julia are coming down this next weekend for a friend's wedding and then again in April for Spring Break. I can't wait to meet him. More news on this as things develop.
Mike took me to The Jazz Kitchen at Downtown Disney for dinner and live music on Valentine's eve. We then went and saw Valentine's Day. It was our first night out just the two of us in a long time. It was a great night. The companionship was the best part. It was our 17th Valentine's Day together and I still love him. I'd marry him all over again without hesitation.
My brother Ryan flew in from Hawaii for the weekend for a funeral of a close friend's dad. He brought his 20 month old daughter, Dylan or Baby Dylan as my boys call her. It was wonderful to see him and Dylan is just precious. Visits with Ryan are brief, lively, lots of fun, and not often enough.
Mike quit his job and gave his 2 weeks notice. He then got "discharged" (fired) two days later. (so typical of the owners management style) He got tired of being micromanaged. He also has issues with the shady ethics of the owner. In short, it was time for him to start his own thing. So currently he is self employed. He contracts with a couple home health companies and is also starting his own private Physical Therapy/Personal Trainer mobile service. He comes to you and helps you with your needs at your house. He's able to bill medicare and some insurance companies and of coarse he takes cash. ( = So far things are going well. He's pretty great at what he does and I am very confident he's going to be great on his own.
So there you go. That was February in a nutshell. I promise my next post will have pictures.

Holy smokes! Your February sure was uneventful. I don't know how you're not bored out of your mind ;)
Looking forward to new house B&As, t-ball pics and still giggling about the woman on the beach and the many more who are puzzled about where your kids came from. The only way I can relate to that is when I go out with my Sister in-law. People think Sophie belongs to her.
